YOUR PRODUCT,
USED PROPERLY,
FOR A WEEK
Every Unspoken Union departure is filmed. One brand presents it, a few more have their gear genuinely used, and a tourism board can commission the region to its own brief. Same week, several payers.
Request the rate cardThe post you bought last quarter
It cost more than a placement slot on one of our departures. It ran for a day. Your product appeared in a car park, or a hotel room, held by somebody who put it back in the box afterwards and never touched it again.
Nobody watching believed they used it. That is the actual problem, and no amount of reach fixes it. An audience can tell the difference between a product somebody relies on and a product somebody was paid to hold.
What we do instead
A departure is seven days of hard use in the conditions that decide whether gear is any good. Cold, wet, vibration, altitude, repacked at four in the morning by somebody running on no sleep. There is a crew filming it because the film is part of what the guests paid for.
Your product goes with them. Not staged, not styled, not handed to talent for a shot. Used, because it was there and it was the right tool. That is the footage, and it is the only kind anyone believes.
Three ways in
Priced per departure, because a marquee week and a midweek one are not the same buy. The rate card carries the bands.
Title partner
One brand. The whole departure.
- Presented-by billing on the film, the trip page and everything around it
- Category exclusivity across the departure, placement slots included
- The long-form film, social cutdowns and selected stills
- Perpetual usage rights for your own channels
One per departure, and departures are finite. If the week you want is taken, you will be told it is taken.
Placement
Three to five per departure
- Product carried and used for the full week
- In the film and the stills because it was actually there
- A private field report on how it held up
Less than one mid-tier influencer post.
Tourism
Your region, your brief
- Assets shot to a brief you write, agreed before departure
- Delivered to spec, with rights cleared for tourism use
- Rider amplification on top of the assets
A fraction of a standalone commission, because the week is already funded.

We are not going to quote you a reach figure
The first departures with a full crew have not run yet. Anybody handing you a precise audience number for a media property that has not shipped is guessing, and you have sat through enough of those decks to know what that looks like.
The August New Zealand scout trip is where the real numbers come from. When they exist they get published here, per departure, rather than aggregated into whatever shape flatters us.
If you need a guaranteed impression number before you can sign anything, we are the wrong buy this season. Better to read that here than find it out twenty minutes into a call.
Get the rate card
It arrives as a link, not a PDF you chase. It stays current, so it is worth keeping rather than saving a copy that goes stale.
The honest risk in a placement
Conditions that prove a product works will also expose one that does not. If a strap lets go on day two, we are not going to claim otherwise on camera. You hear it from us first, privately and in detail, and that field report has value to a product team on its own.
This suits brands with confidence in their gear. Brands without it are better off buying the influencer post.
What we will not do
We do not take a placement for gear we would not hand to a guest. That is the only filter and it is not negotiable at any price.
We do not stage a week for the camera. A staged trip is obvious on screen and it wastes the money of the person who paid for the seat, which is the whole reason the footage is worth anything.
Not every departure carries a sponsored rider
Some do. When one does, the material is better and the reach is wider. It is not promised on any given week and we are not going to imply it is.
Questions
How much does it cost to sponsor a trip?
Price on application, scoped per departure. Partnerships start in the low five figures and placement slots sit below that. Request the rate card and the bands arrive as a link straight away rather than after a chase.
What do I actually receive as a partner?
A long-form film of the departure, social assets cut vertical and for feed, selected and graded stills, and perpetual usage rights for your own channels. Scope, exclusivity and any restrictions are written into the agreement before the departure leaves.
Is category exclusivity real?
Yes, and it runs across the whole departure. If you present a snow week, nobody in your category holds a placement slot on that week either.
What happens if the product fails on the trip?
You hear it from us first, privately and in detail, before anything is published. We will not claim on camera that something worked when it did not. That is the trade, and it is why the footage is worth having.
Can I sponsor a private charter?
No. A chartered departure carries no title partner, no placement brands and no tourism deliverables, because the client has bought the whole week. Those trips are not for sale here.
How soon do I get pricing?
Immediately. The enquiry form issues a rate card link on the spot. Dan works a FIFO roster so a considered reply can take a few days, but the numbers do not wait on that.
