PRIVATE\nCHARTER
The whole departure, your party only. Same guide, same videographer, same terrain. What changes is who else is there, and who else knows.
What it is
A charter is one of our departures run for your party alone. The guide is the same guide. The terrain is the same terrain. Nothing is scaled up for you and nothing is quietly scaled down.
- Buy out the remaining seats on a scheduled departure and it becomes yours.
- Or give us your dates and we build a departure around them.
Either way it is the operation we would have run anyway, after fifteen years of running it. Charter does not buy a different standard of work. It buys the work happening for you alone.
Three levels of discretion
Choose one before you book.
- Standard - a normal trip, privately booked. Nothing about how we run it changes.
- No content - nothing shot on the trip leaves without your written approval.
- Full - crew under NDA. No entry in the public Register. Manifests are not shared beyond what a supplier legally needs.
The level can be raised at any point, including mid-trip. It is not lowered unless you ask us in writing. Some parties take Full and do not say why. We do not ask.
Names and contact
A booking can run under a working name. The name we put on supplier manifests is the name you give us. An assistant or a handler can be the only person we ever deal with, from the first enquiry to the last invoice. We do not need to meet you before the trip and we will not ask to.
Some paperwork needs a legal name and we cannot get around that. Aviation, insurance and border documents are the usual ones. We will tell you in advance which document needs it, who sees it and how long they hold it. Nothing beyond that list leaves us.
Footage
Nothing from a chartered trip is ever published without written approval. The default is no. If we never hear from you it stays no, because silence is not approval here.
The videographer still works the trip unless you tell us not to bring one, and the files come to you. If you later want something released, we need it in writing, naming the footage and where it is going. That request has to come from you, not from us asking.
This holds after the trip is over, and it holds for the crew as well as for us. There is no clause anywhere that lets us change our minds later.
What a chartered departure cannot carry
No title partner. No placement brands. No tourism board deliverables. No ambassador seat, no guest of a sponsor, no one along to shoot content for somebody else.
Treat that as a guarantee rather than a policy, because it holds by arithmetic. You have bought the whole departure. There is nothing left to sell to anyone, so nothing is sold.
What a charter does not change
Privacy is not a safety margin. The mountain does the same thing whoever is paying and whatever name is on the manifest. Chartering the departure does not buy a wider margin, and it never buys terrain the guide has closed.
The guide calls the day. If the conditions say no, the answer is no, and it is no for a chartered party on exactly the terms it would be for anyone else. We would rather give the money back than run a day we do not like.
Price
A charter is priced per departure and depends on the operation, the terrain and the season. You get one number for the whole thing, in writing.
You can ask us to bring somebody
A professional or a creator whose riding you rate, on your departure, at your cost. We handle the approach, the fee and the logistics, and they come as a rider rather than as a camera crew.
This is not a new idea, it is just one nobody advertises. It happens on heli trips more than people realise: somebody books the week and decides they would rather spend part of the budget riding with somebody exceptional than on another hour of flying. A week with a rider at that level changes what you come home able to do.
They are there to ride with you, not to post about it. Nothing is published from a chartered trip without your written approval, and that applies to anyone we bring exactly as it applies to us.
How an enquiry goes
- A first name and a way to reply.
- We reply with questions rather than a brochure.
- Dates, party size and what you want to ride, when you are ready to give them.
- A number in writing. Then a decision, in your own time.
Enquiries are read by the person who would guide the trip. They are not passed around, added to a list, or followed up more than once.
Questions
Can I book under a different name?
Yes. A booking can run under a working name, and the name we put on supplier manifests is the name you give us. Where a legal name is genuinely required, for aviation, insurance or a border, we tell you which document needs it before you commit to anything.
Can my assistant deal with you instead of me?
Yes, from the first message to the last invoice. An assistant or handler can be the only contact we have, including for paperwork and payment. We are set up to run a trip that way and it changes nothing about how it is guided.
Will anything from my trip end up online?
Not without your written approval. The default is no and it stays no if we never hear from you. Under No content nothing shot on the trip leaves at all without that approval, and under Full the crew is under NDA as well.
Can I buy out a trip that is already on the schedule?
Yes, if the remaining seats are still open. Take them and the departure is yours, same guide, same terrain, same dates. If the seats have already gone we can usually build the same trip on other dates instead.
How much does a private charter cost?
It is priced per departure and depends on the operation, the terrain and the season, so there is no list price and we do not publish one. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and you get a number in writing.
Will there be sponsors, brand partners or other guests on the trip?
No. A chartered departure carries no title partner, no placement brands, no tourism deliverables and no ambassador seat. You have bought the whole departure, so there is nothing left to sell to anyone else.
Enquire about a charter
An assistant can place this on your behalf. A first name and a way to reply is enough to start, and you can hold everything else back until you want to give it.
Not what you were after
These are the other ways people work with us.
