REPEAT-RUN CONDITIONING: LAPS WITHOUT FADE
8 min · Full library · written from fifteen years in the terrain
The point
A park day is repeat efforts with chairlift-length recoveries, so train exactly that shape instead of one long grind.

The Technique
- Match the intervals to the day: efforts of three to four minutes at a hard-but-repeatable seven to eight out of ten, followed by five-plus minutes genuinely easy, for four to six rounds. That is a run and a lift, over and over.
- Build a run simulator from the Powder Legs movements: squats, step-downs and a wall sit back to back for two minutes, then rest like you are on the lift. The legs do not know it is not a trail.
- The recovery between laps is aerobic. If your base is thin, you start every run still cooked from the last one - the cardio lesson is what fixes that, not more intervals.
Still under the glass
