BAR & BODY TRICKS: SUICIDES, NAC NACS & CAN CANS
12 min · Full library · written lesson, video in production
After this lesson you know the progression for the classic bar and body tricks - the suicide no-hander, the can can, and the nac nac - the style school where every slopestyle rider learns to move on a flying bike.
The Technique
- Bar and body tricks are where trick riding starts, because the bike stays on line while you move around it. The rule that governs them all: the bike keeps flying straight when your body leaves neutral only if your pop was clean and your speed was right - which is why the foundations lesson gates this one.
- Every trick here has the same skeleton: set (a deliberate, slightly bigger pop than normal), move (the trick itself, committed and to full extension - half tricks look worse and crash more than no tricks), and reset (back to neutral with time to spare before the landing; the reset deadline is the landing's knuckle, not the landing).
- The set-move-reset skeleton under every trick, and the knee-grip cue that keeps suicide bars from turning
- 4 more technique steps
- The 2 mistakes that undo it, with fixes
- The drill that builds the reflex
- The safety non-negotiables
