The point

The Technique
- Stop. Get off. Walk it first, every time: depth, current, bottom, entry, exit. If it is not safe to walk, it is not safe to ride, and in croc country walking itself has rules - covered properly in the Old Tele lesson.
- Know your bike's drown depth: where the airbox breathes. Water above the intake is a drowned bike.
- Pick the line you walked - usually the widest, shallowest section - and aim slightly upstream of your exit so the current delivers you to it.
- Technique: first or second gear, steady momentum, revs held steady. Feet ready to dab, but the drive stays constant. Eyes on the exit, not the water.
